The DBS does not allow an private individual to verify the ID for a care worker, the individual and the care worker have to go through a care agency organisation for the DBS check application to be valid.
Once all the details have been submitted, the check itself will take 5 to 10 working days for the result to come back. The certificate will be sent directly to the candidates home address.
